I started this business with just a handful of buildings — so few, I could count them. From day one, I wanted to build Whales Hire around three simple principles: our word, our quality and our pricing.
For us, your word matters — and so does ours. When we commit to something, we take that commitment seriously. From the first conversation through to delivery and collection, we believe in doing what we say we will do. Construction is already demanding enough, so our customers shouldn't have to chase us, question us or wonder whether we'll follow through. If we give you our word, we stand by it.
Quality is more than how a building looks when it arrives. It's about supplying equipment that is clean, well-maintained, practical and fit for purpose. We carefully select our buildings and equipment based on what works in real construction environments, not just what looks good on paper. Our goal is to provide reliable equipment that is ready to go when it reaches your site — and meets the standard we would expect ourselves.
We believe our customers should receive genuine value for their money. Our pricing is built around being competitive, transparent and fair, while still maintaining the level of quality and service we expect to provide. Over the years, our range has grown far beyond what I ever imagined. Today, we supply site offices, lunch rooms, first-aid rooms, ablution and toilet blocks, portaloos, shipping containers, generators, compaction equipment and much more — allowing us to provide most of a site setup from one supplier, on one invoice.
But no matter how much we grow, our customers will always be at the centre of what we do. We don't see our clients as numbers. We see them as the foundation of our success. We want to be the company they can rely on, remember, recommend and be happy to call again.
